Members must understand that compliance is compulsory and the fines for non-compliance are huge e.g. a $20,000 fine under State Legislation or imprisonment for up to 1 year and or up to a $10 million fine under Consumer Law for Companies and $500,000 for individuals plus loss of commission and expenses and or requirements such as a binding undertaking or to undertake further education.
